Submission Guidelines

Elysium Review is open to poetry that engages with the topics and experiences of pleasure, delight, wonder, love, and joy. Elysium Review will publish short, semi-annual issues (January and July) comprised of approximately ten poems each. The deadline for our 10th issue is December 1, 2026. This publication puts a high value on diversity in aesthetic, poetic influences, and lived experiences; providing a space for marginalized voices to be celebrated is a priority for Elysium.
  • Please send 3-5 poems to [email protected].
  • Include a brief cover letter that indicates how you see your poems interacting with our thematic focuses (pleasure, delight, wonder, love, and joy). This step has been added because we receive too many submissions that have nothing to do with these themes.
  • Include a 3rd person bio.
  • Please copy-and-paste poems into the body of the email. If your poem requires special formatting, you may include an attachment.
  • Poems should not be previously published.
  • Simultaneous submissions are welcome!
  • We are interested in the human experience and not the regurgitation of language by Artificial Intelligence (A.I.). Do not submit any poems that have been crafted at any stage using generative A.I. (like ChatGPT).
  • There are no submission fees.
  • We are unable to offer payment at this time.
